(60 cm. avec la base d'époque postérieure) --------------------------------------------- Memento mori marble skull with bishop's mitre Height: 37 cm. Total height with later base: 60 cm. Italy, 19th century. Cream-white Carrara marble. The skull on a brown truncated column mounted on a tall brown marble base. Previously possibly as part of an epitaph of a high-ranking bishop.
